Love the "heartiness" of this skort! Yes, it is a thick cotton/Jersey material, but well made and can make travel through many a temperature. It is flattering, fun and funky as well as family- party friendly / i.e. not too short. I am 5'2" and weight 93 lbs. Ordered an xs and it worked. I also think that it had room to spare, so if your on the fence, size down.
